Network administrators are responsible for maintaining computer hardware and software systems. They are primarily focused on the network components within their company. Some network administrators design and implement new networks. They are in charge of network address assignments, management and implementation of protocols and handling the maintenance of networks and file servers. Network administrators must ensure that the network used by the organization is working effectively and is properly maintained. To be a successful network administrator you should have extensive technical knowledge.
